SOLID BRASS, SELF-ALIGNING SADDLES

As a result of this sensible design the two front bridge mounts are always in line with the saddles, ensuring perfect. reliable intona­tion. The self-aligning front mounts have ball-bearing action tips for effortless height adjustment, while each saddle may be individually moved to change intonation b using a standard screwdriver. THE DEACON SHAPE

The Deacon 6- and 12-Strings have been designed and built to be beautiful to look at and comfortable to play. Its unique shape makes Deacon perfect for the seated guitarist, because the body and neck are balanced and offer two comfortable playing angles. This feature has helped make Deacon an outstanding studio guitar. The two-piece Honduras mahogany body Is handsomely finished with high-gloss polyester and is offered in a variety of colors. ACTIVE ELECTRONICS, CONSISTENT TONE COLOR

Deacon features a FET preamplifier and volume compensated tone control. The result: simplified set­tings with wider selection of sounds and consistent volume level regard-less of tone color. A mid-range filter switch offers you the additional choice of true acoustic guitar sound.

Trim controls provide even more flexibility by letting you preset rela­tive volume levels of each pickup A flip of Deacon's selector switch puts the two advanced humbucking pickups out-of-phase. The master volume control is located within easy reach of your little finger, to facilitate the most contemporary volume and sustain effects.

ADJUSTABLE, TRI-MOUNTED BRIDGE

A rigid bridge is crucial to the superior guitar. Ovation's patented tri-mounted bridge grips the body at three points. It is secured by mas­sive bolts which thread into steel sleeves embedded in the guitar body. This strong triangle is recog­nized by engineers as an excellent anchoring system.

The bridge is easy to adjust for height at all three points. A conven­ient adjustable handrest is built into the rear of the tailpiece.
