Since the Storms were introduced in 1968 and the picksup were standard shape and size it is not suprising to find a good selection with replaced pickups.

It is perhaps more suprisingthat that are not more - a reflection of th equality of the originals ?

It is also a  straightforward job to replace the pickups on the breadwinner.

One of the critisisms  of the Preacher and the Viper was that their non-standard pickups size [smaller] made it difficult to customise.   This has not stood in the way of the deteremined.

Preachers with repladcement picks are not common.

A reflection on the quality of  the Ovation humbuckers.

Here are a couple.

Replacement pickups on Vipers are more common.

This is usually to replace the single coils for humbuckers.

Left can be seen a neat jobs with tap switcehs  for each pickup.

A  very late model or one also upgraded with ta new bridge.

Vipers have also provided a good opportunities for full custom jobs.
